Jean-Christophe Ballot , Photographe : Œuvre sur l’œuvre

Trained as an architect, Jean-Christophe Ballot photographs the natural landscape, the urban landscape, architecture, interiors and statuary. In his images, he searches for suspended time and creates contemplative photography. All of his work is based around the theme of space: cities, with their urban landscape and architecture, ports, confined spaces, places of remembrance, spiritual places, natural landscapes and gardens, lapidary and archaeological sites, etc.

A former resident of the Villa Medicis, his works appear in the collections of many museums: The Louvre, Centre Pompidou, European House of Photography, Rodin Museum in Paris/Thessaloniki Museum of Photography/Metropolitan Museum of New York…
