The Grand Curtius in the heart of Liège is an invitation to discover major works of Belgian heritage, including many classified as “Treasures of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation”. This rare distinction underlines their outstanding historical, artistic and cultural value.
Among the permanent collections of the Grand Curtius, the arms department occupies a special place, entirely dedicated to one of the most characteristic industries of Liège: the armory. Since November 24, 2023, it has presented to visitors its new section of knives and protective equipment for military use.
As of Monday, October 4, 2021 and due to exceptional preventive measures, the permanent collection of the glass department will not be accessible until further notice.
